ADSE supports AMREF Flying Doctors to reduce carbon footprint of aero-medical operations
New opportunities to reduce carbon emissions
Amref Flying Doctors, a global market leader for aero-medical services across Africa and beyond, is reaffirming its commitment to a more sustainable future through this partnership.
ADSE has supported AFD by identifying opportunities to reduce their carbon emissions. And today, the team presented its results to the board of AFD. Among other things, our final report addresses topics like:
✈ Single engine taxi operation,
✈ Various weight reduction measures,
✈ Opportunities for collaboration with local universities to measure improvements and monitor key performance indicators.
ADSE contributes to a more sustainable world
“It’s an honor to be given the opportunity to work for an iconic organization like AMREF Flying Doctors and I’m proud of what the team has accomplished. This project underlines the determination and commitment of ADSE to contribute to a more sustainable world.”
Stephen Gitau, CEO of AMREF Flying Doctors:
“Many thanks for closing this project on time, and for the output which is useful and relevant and will help us to address the initial question. We enjoyed working with your team and we're looking forward to continued collaboration. Special thanks to Reinoud Hermans, Akram Al Othmani, Katharina Ertman, Sieta Pierik and Ron van Baaren. Keep rising!!”
More to come...
And the collaboration is not yet finished, as ADSE is also currently working to define a solution to optimize maintenance and minimize downtime by enhancing the equipment in AFD's Cessna Sovereign fleet. Stay tuned for more!
