This summer, several of us at ADSE had the opportunity to experience the thrill of flying a glider at Terlet Airfield near Arnhem, The Netherlands.

0 to 100 km/h in less than 3 seconds

With many of our colleagues holding pilot licenses for various types of aircraft — ranging from single-engine piston to ultra-light planes and gliders — it was a day filled with shared passion and excitement.

Accelerating from 0 to 100 km/h in less than 3 seconds during the winch take-off is certainly something you never forget! Not to mention the amazing view up there. There's nothing quite like the serene feeling of soaring among the clouds without an engine!
